James Mayer
Hudson Resident for 24 years, married to Dr. Vicki Mayer of Hudson Physicians; business owner since 1978; extensive experience as an educator in public and private schools from elementary to university levels, and community education for all ages (received Ph.D., 1980). Recently certified by Minnesota Supreme Court as Professional Court Interpreter.
Lifelong avocation-- observing, and dialoguing with local citizens about business and community life, education, and government while living and working in farm and small town communities, and larger cities in various regions of America and abroad.
Business and professional member of several organizations promoting international understanding and exchange in cultural, governmental, educational, and commercial matters; directed Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service at Fort McCoy in Sparta Wisconsin during Cuban Refugee Crisis in 1980.
Hudson Memorial Hospital Association member;
founding member of Hudson Eldercare Family Council.
Served as Alderperson of 4th District on Hudson City Council from 2002-2004.
